This puts the factory bluing on my Ruger to shame. Seriously, it's more like something you would see on a Wilson Combat pistol. It's flawless and has a dull blue shine just like I wanted. He even did all of my small parts like the grip screws.

Even the interior of the pistol looks new.

It's covered in oil and I'm going to leave it that way until the weekend when I start the assembly. By the way, total cost of re-blue $108.00. Now I can buy more bullets! Totally recommend McClelland Gun Shop of Dallas, two thumbs way up!

I'm having these grips made by Altamont, should be completed in a few weeks. Rosewood

Altamont grips are top notch. I have three sets (629, sp101, and Mark III), and they all look fantastic and gave the gun a whole new personality. That set is going to look fantastic on your gun.
Here’s my girl, I just got all the pieces back from Cerakote yesterday then reassembled. Your blueing looks fantastic!! Mine is a 1979 model. Before Cerakote at my local Smith I ground off the 2 circles, ground off the original serial #'s, shortened the hammer to reduce the chances of hammer bite, & reduced the length of the side lock on the right hand side. I ordered these grips about a month ago before following your post! They were made to order, I received them last week.

I do wish there was a conversion available to have an ambi safety on these. Beautiful work, guys!
Awesome!!! She came out perfect, well done sir! I might reduce the length of my slide lock too, it does stick out a little too far. I hope it doesn't take a month for my grips to be made, lol.
TY! I'm really digging your blueing job! Yeah shortening that some what intrusive slide lock was a must! My pistol was rusted up pretty good( lots of pitting), I got the $150 good condition option. I dremeled and sanded ALOT lol. My firing pin retention pin under the sight was basically rust welded in place. I had to use a torch and a ball peen hammer (2 punches later) to remove it!!

It would be an easy part to make for someone with the tooling. You'd have to trim the grip panel on the right side though.
