I am pretty sure that the last time I was at that bridge that I went UNDER it. A buddy and I took a canoe down the Pecos and took out at a park on the lake. I think that i was 19.

Good question. Didnt know that. Had to look it up.

Both right. It is det cord. When in a hover and things go bad, a normal ejection seat won't work. So the canopy is blown by det cord, and the parachute is shot out of the seat and spread out by a spreader gun before the seat even leaves the rails. The pilot is swinging in the straps literally as it comes out. At altitude. it works like a normal ejection seat.
