    X9RCAM,

Post 89 says "Prove it" & nothing more.
(Were you responding to my post # 98, per chance?? OR to someone else's post??)

EVERYBODY needs to "address" their comments to an individual or 2 or more members by name, unless the post is intended for everyone. - Otherwise it is quite confusing.

    yours, satx

    SATX,

When you read post 89, you need to read ALL OF IT, the quoted post (by TX OMFS)as well, to get the context of his reply.

Okay here is my "research". I got off my oxygen machine and went to my Inogen. Put on a mask(two rather thin layers of material, no nose clamp. homemake)and watched my o2 level. In the first seven minutes it was bouncing between 97%/98%. It then dropped to 97% and remained for the next 18 minutes. After the 25 minutes I removed the mask and for the next 10 minutes it remained at 97%. I was obviously wrong. I might give it another try tomorrow with a nose clamp. I doubt it will change though. No oxygen 82%.

    zx9rcam; TX OMFS,

IF you or any other member wants a reader like me to look at more than one post, you should LIST all the relevant posts by number that a person needs to read rather than the member having to go through over 100 posts to figure it out.

    That is SIMPLE COURTESY.

    yours, satx

    SATX,

I only wanted you to look at post 89.
But you must realize that the entirety of post 89 consists of a quote of TX OMFS, and a reply by Coop.

(As I now, at the "tender age" of 73YO, have a 13 month old adopted son, I can ASSURE everyone who reads these lines that Nathan Paul will go to NO "citie-gubmint apruvd publick screwls". . . .

My nephew’s Home Room teacher called my brother one day and said: “We gots a problem wit dis boy.”

COPD is a lung problem(generally) in which the lung tissue cannot absorb O2 easily. The solution is to increase the % O2 in the air OR hold air in the lungs longer. Typical problem with COPD people is the fast breath rate! That exacerbates the other problem, CO2 is the mechanism that controls the breath rate. Fast breathing increases CO2 expulsion that reduces (will stop breathing - hyperventilating - why you use a paper bag). If you have COPD and need oxygen, it goes UNDER the mask so there is no real problem.

What is sad is the customer arguing with the clerk about the mask requirement in the first place. The low paid clerk does not make the rules.
The store is a private business and the customer has to abide by their rules. If not, gtfo.

For those with medical conditions, they can get an exempt letter from their physician.

Otherwise it is no harder to wear a mask than it is to buckle your seatbelt. I am 75 with four heart stents, 90 lbs overweight, and bad knees. I have no problems with wearing a mask if required.
