And now you're aware it could happen to you, you will not be totally surprised like I was.

I was already aware of it. My own company is taking temperature scans before allowing workers into the facilities. I haven't needed to do it because I have been working at home.

I just think you behavior toward somebody trying to do their job and then bragging about it on here was distasteful. And I know you probably don't give a shit either. That's fine by me.

But don't let me stop you. I'm moving on.

You have the option of going in or not. Went to the doctor's office and they did the same thing. Big deal. At least you knew you were being screened. Nowadays they can screen you with thermal stuff and you wouldn't know. Would that have been better? Out of all the crap in this world, Google knows your life history, facebook won't let you post, can't buy a gun with Paypal, large corporations want "diversity", this is what upsets you. Relax, have a beer, enjoy.

It’s people like you, Doug, that should not have an LTC. If you are OK wearing a mask, but trigger to your “red-line” when checked with a contactless thermometer, I don’t want you out there with a gun. Furthermore, the waitress tried to give you a heads up. Twice. And I would guess their entry requirements are posted at the servers table or front door.

I feel like this board dropped in IQ points when you arrived, and try as I might avoid your posts and threads, you post everywhere, all the time. I ask that you get another hobby. Buy a BMW and post your drivel on their forum. Thanks.

"I just think you behavior toward somebody trying to do their job and then bragging about it on here was distasteful."

I didn't complain as I was told to just go ahead and get in the cattle car, cuz, the poor guy was just trying to do his job....

    Yes, I'm making a point.

At what point does the "he/she was just doing their job" excuse run dry?

He/She told me to submit to a blood test and dna test before I could be served and I objected, no good sob that I am...after all, they were just doing their job...

You have the option to shop or not. People pushed into cattle cars had smg's pointed at them. That can happen when you don't have gun rights. Maybe that's what the democrats end point is. Not quite the same as going into a restaurant.

As I ask earlier: What's your red line? Don't have one? I find it, almost, incredible the attitudes over this event. Especially the self-professed psychiatrist handing out unsolicited advice. Don't like it - there is the ignore option - use it.

You just don't get. Trust me on this. With the submissive attitudes displayed here we'll lose more rights - guaranteed.

It's only a restaurant you could go some place else - I did!

It's only a Federal background check. For a right already established

It's only a state LTC permit - for a right already established

It's only a red flag law - woops what happened to our rights?

    It's only....

Have "YOU" figured out when you'll tolerate no more "It's only...."

My wife recently had surgery and I have been taking he to the doctor's office for follow ups for almost a month. Finally after running their entrance gauntlet every two days and laughing at them asking dumb question they finally stopped asking the dumbest one. Sure I have shortness of breath otherwise I would leave this fricking oxygen machine at home. As soon as I was around the corner at the elevators, the mask went into my pocket. I now rank the medical profession with advertising lawyers.

Some don't appreciate they're no longer in the U.S.

We're constantly being introduced into accepting what just a few months ago we'dve said "hell no, I won't do that", but now, sure I'll do whatever I'm told, meek little citizen that I am. And if some small time employee of a restaraunt says - drop and give me twenty, well sure, don't complain, drop, one, two, heave, three....they're just doing a thankless job, you p.i.t.a. customer.

Part of what I think is going on: The compliant, no matter what foolishness is insisted upon them, they go along with, embarrassed to be so meek, but don't object and these little quislings want 'you' to meekly go along with whatever stupid program is insisted upon too...if they have too, so do you, all the while suggesting your rebellion at the outrageous is 'reasonable' and just go along with it...or else.

With moms health such that it is I spend a lot of time going in & out of hospitals & medical facilities. Oklahoma & Texas. Mask, list of questions (quick no) temp check, hand sanitizer and off we go to the next procedure or appointment. To be honest, we’ve only eaten 1 time at a restaurant since February or March. Used to eat out 2 or 3 nights a week.

You know, it’s what it is and not much I can do about it. I got over getting mad about mask, temp checks, and the rest months ago. Got other shit more important to focus on right now. I haven’t cursed out a single person who was doing their job they were asked to do - yet

I'm sorry but your post is a bit harsh.

She may very well have been telling him, twice, but with her own mask on, I can very easily see where understanding what she said might have taken place. I have hearing problems as well.

I can very well see his viewpoint on this, and I agree with him on it. It is a matter of being conditioned to see what and how many will just accept these "new norms" as being the way things are, or should be. I would have been a little more tactful than Doug, but I can see where he's coming from. Wearing a mask should be up to the individual to make and also not a mandate from others. If the business wants to make it mandatory and a requirement to enter, of wearing a mask, and being checked for your temperature, then they should have the decency and courtesy of having a sign displayed at the entrance. At least then you can make a choice of whether to go in, or go somewhere else.

The reality of the event was I did not say "Phuk you!" to the gal. I said nothing just turned and briskly walked out. Didn't even think of saying anything until I was in my truck headed out of the parking lot. But apparently that is really not the issue. The issue, it seems, is that I found it a very distasteful. I will repeat myself the gal said something - ONE TIME. I did not understand what she said and it didn't matter she had already conducted her business.

Being objective, the server isn't the one I would have an issue with over this incident, but the owners, or management. She's just doing her job as specified by those above her.

The restaurant should be displaying a sign as to what they require as to being able to enter their establishment. Personally, I don't see where that would be too much to ask of them, or to expect. Hey if you expect shoes and a shirt to be required, then saying a mask and submitting to an IR temp scan are requirements should displayed with signage.

As stated in my first post. The only signage indicated that mask were required on entering and exiting. Had I seen a "Temp check is required" I would have gone no further than the first sign stating that requirement. I wore a mask not because I wanted to but because I did not want to cause the business any repercussions should the gestapo come in and start checking or someone calls/complains. Apparently the mask was not enough.... and temp checks won't be enough either at some point if things keep going they way their going.

I did read that, and that's why I said they should be displaying a sign telling ALL requirements for entry into the restaurant.
