@TX OMFS, for 10mm you really want some weight in the frame to be comfortable shooting it,in my opinion. While 1CM has some really good data, if there’s a chance you’re going to pull the trigger twice in one engagement, then you’re looking at a revolver, S&W semi-auto, or a Colt DE. Brand G will work just fine as well, it just may not be as comfortable to shoot with your delicate surgeon hands and all.

Love my EAA Tanfoglio Witness Pro Steel, which is sort of like a Stock 1 slide, bull barrel on an EAA Witness Steel frame.

    It's a DA/SA.

I need a 10mm handgun. Which one do you like?

Being sophisticated, I lean towards the Glock 40. I am open to suggestions.

I like my early Delta Elite.
But I like my Glock 29 also
Then I bought a Kimber Target in 10mm, like that one too
My RIA 10mm is nice and heavy
My Glock 20 is great also.
Then I bought the Glock 40. Nice!
Remington long slide in 10MM is sweet.

    Can’t really decide my favorite.

I am looking too. Actually already bought some ammo but no gun.
Thinking about the Springfield Armory XD-M full size 5.25" barrel. Like the Glock but question about how well the barrel is supported. Want to be able to reload.
    Suggestions?

I have the Ruger revolver in 10mm but the clips seem a little strange in comparison with the half-moon clips on a S&W.

If you want something that works go for a Glock or RIA. If you want something that is pretty and a overpriced paperweight go for the Delta Elite. My DE went back to Colt 2 times before I dumped that POS. Very first outing the front sight fell off and it would not cycle 2 rounds in a row. That was with Sig, Underwood and various other ammo. Got it back from Colt and the medallions in the grips were missing. Then it fired out of battery. Back to Colt it went. Never fired it after that and sold it for quite a loss. Have an RIA now and have had my G20 for about 12 years. Both of them have been flawless.

    Gunz are icky.
I’ve a couple of Kimber 1911’s in Bestmm.
    They run well.
Also have a Ruger GP-100 in Bestmm.
Using moons its runs without issue. One plus is you can also use .40 S&W in it.
I briefly had a Glock 20 that was an unreliable P.O.S. Sold that boat anchor sumbeach at a loss and was very glad to see it go.

I have a 1006 and a Glock 20. Of the two, the Glock is a better shooter. But the 1006 is a better looking pistol. The Glock holds 15, the 1006 holds 9. To me, the Glock is a softer shooter even tho it is lighter, and I am much more accurate with it. But I would never sell the 1006, heh.

That's a nightmare. I was seriously eyeing an STI back in 2018 & didn't buy it. Now I regret it. I would hate to lay out that much cash only to get a lemon.

Have you ever shot a 10mm?

I jumped aboard the 10mm train years back only to find out it isn't all it was cracked up to be. I was hoping for Desert Eagle 50 in a smaller package. It is definitely not.

I handloaded as hot as I could find reliable data for and was not impressed.

In all reality it's "just a little bit more" than other normal handgun rounds.

Keep in mind this is from a guy that owns a 460 and has owned a DE 50, 500 Mag, 454, 44 Mag, and other big boomers. The 10mm doesn't even register compared to what's out there.

I will say get the Glock though. Price for performance they're tough to beat.

One last piece of advice. Get the G20 over the G40 unless you really just want the longer slide and barrel. The extra weight out front adds muzzle flip that really slows down your shooting.

I have a colt delta elite. Its the only 10mm I have shot. You are free to give it a try if you want. I also have some 10mm ammo if you can't find any once you get your pistol. Good luck!

Never shot one. I want one for the novelty and bc I want another caliber.

    I have .44 mag & .45LC. Those are my largest handgun calibers. I think I'd like a 460 & 454 one day. Not so sure about 500S&W.

    I don't want the 10mm to be a boomer.

The G40 caught my eye because of the MOS feature, capacity, & the longer barrell. I didn't really thing about increased muzzle flip. I'll have to think about that some more. Capacity and weight were the reasons I like the STI.
