I’m in Conroe and looking for the best Pastrami sandwich money can buy. I am willing to make a 2 hour drive. GO!

Katz's is likely you're best bet but since they're in your backyard, I assume you've ruled them out.

I'm waiting to hear too. In high school there was a small deli across from the school that made the best hot pastrami sandwich. Was on a round french type bread, mounds of pastrami, dill pickles and mustard. They would toast in oven and serve it up. Have come close to duplicating, but cannot find a bread to replicate.

I traveled the state quite a bit in the last 4 years and have come to the same conclusion. I’ve not given up though.
