I waited in my local line up this morning. I was probably 25th in line. At least 30 more behind me by opening. First 12 came out with spam cans and 500rd boxes 5.56. I feel lucky to have picked up 3 boxes of Browning 223. Priced over 50 CPR after tax but maybe the best price out there. Another 360 rds of joy

Academy in McKinney had some 270 win, 1 box of 30-30, a lot of 223 120rd packs (Browning), Monarch 9mm, 7.62x39, 380, some Sig defense ammo 45, 9mm as well as a new allotment of shotgun 12ga, 20ga. I got there about 9:40 this morning and this was what was left after being picked over.

I just picked up 3 - 120ct Browning 55gr. .223 at Academy. 60 bucks per box/ 50 cpr +tax.

That's the best deal out there. Guy I know who buys for gun show resell says he's heard Q2 is going to get ugly. Even though everyone is running at Max cap and bulk packaging to increase output, they're due to run out of components soon.

That choke point is going to ripple through the industry. Expect more corrosive primed Russian ammo and another 10-20% price bump between now and May or June.

Don't know if anyone's local Academy received ammo today, but the one in McKinney had a decent supply come in. Some 500rd Win 5.56, 30-30 150&170gr, 30-06, 7.62x51, 38sp 100rd box, as well as some Monarch 9mm, 45, 380, 7.62. There were some spam cans there as well. If yours didn't get any today, they may have it tomorrow as the buyer for one buys for all

I'm OK for now. I found 300 rounds I had loaded a while back and forgot about. I was dating a lady recently who has one and gave her about 200 rounds, so I'm a little lower than I like to be.

Last ammo I hot at Academy was some 7.62x39. All they had was that, some Hornady 308 and some 45ACP. They pretty much do not say when they think shipments will come in. There is a line outside every morning.

Ok, the guy came out and said no ammo this week and no delivery's at all of anything because the store is doing an inventory. I guess that happens at different times at different stores because Monday the store in Grapevine had about 40 people already in line at 8 am.
