Many years ago, Friday was a day looked forward to with anticipation and maybe even a goal as to having survived another week!

I loved Friday afternoons of working hard all day, and couldn't wait to get home and cleaned up, head out to a nice restaurant with some lovely lady for good dinner, then head out to a club for some drinking and dancing.

Wasn't much better in life to me back then.

Still is. You’re outlook and priorities have changed. Something I’ve been giving a lot of thought to lately.

Even with being retired, in some ways Friday is just another day of the week. But it still has some emotional appeal, because I guess much of the world still operates to a large degree of a Monday through Friday work schedule.

For many years, I worked shift work, and being on call nights and weekends, I was working on Friday nights when most were off and having fun. I have no complaints about that in the least, because it afforded me a very good living, and I accepted it knowing those conditions.

I did enjoy transitioning back to working during the week and being off weekends though.
