I'm tired of the blather in Funny Pics  but I have something incredibly important to say :p so I'm draggin Gordo's crapola here.

I stopped at the store this evening partly for vitamins and for once in a VERY long time I asked for help finding something, mainly because there happened to be a 20something female stocking shelves holding a scanner.

    Do you have blah blah?

    Yes, they're $7/100 tablets

Yeah, but I'm looking for them in a 2,000-4,000 IU dose

That translated into a discussion of math and what is being taught these days in H.S. & college, at least in the Huntsville area. She rambled on about "imaginary" numbers and square roots of same; something called "I" numbers. No doubt I looked as stupid as I am trying to follow this crap. :(

ANYwho . . she wants to be a medical illustrator which SOMEhow involved the imaginary math that her Dad, the AT&T software engineer helped her with and they got a D on the test.

Am I alone here? I feel like no one is listening

I have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and had to take more math classes than I care to count. I don’t remember much of it. I do know that “I” is the square root of -1, and is referred to as an imaginary number.
