Pretty sure your side is the one that would do the beating up. Those of us who disagree just want to be left alone. You feel that way, fine, but realize it is deeply offensive and unAmerican, and YES previous generations have been wusses and also done horrible things like the Tuskegee experiment, Agent Orange, etc... so you are probably right about your generation.I am going to get beat up for this but here goes:
My wife's boss had covid. Recovered.Do you have any links for that. I'm not doubting it but since Israel is highly vaccinated I was wondering if this might be related to "hybrid immunity" that I've been reading about. In a nutshell, when someone has had covid and then gets vaccinated they end up with an immunity that is many times one would get from either separately and may be more likely to protect against future variants. It's at the kinda maybe stage right now but looks interesting.
New Studies Find Evidence Of 'Superhuman' Immunity To COVID-19 In Some Individuals
Naturally enhanced neutralizing breadth against SARS-CoV-2 one year after infection
We are not going to get a handle on this until we all get vaccinated.
You are too funny! If you want to be left alone great! Dont put yourself in a public forum.Pretty sure your side is the one that would do the beating up. Doubtful. Only two diseases (one human, one animal) that have ever been eradicated. Smallpox and rinderpest. Polio is still endemic outside the US and even has large outbreaks in places it’s been eradicated before.…We are not going to get a handle on this until we all get vaccinated…
Polio could be wiped out if all of the conspiracy theory people that claim it’s an American plot hadn’t kept the 3rd worlders from getting the shots. Sugar cubes were easier.Doubtful. Only two diseases (one human, one animal) that have ever been eradicated. Smallpox and rinderpest. Polio is still endemic outside the US and even has large outbreaks in places it’s been eradicated before.
The *most* likely outcome is going to be closer to what you see with flu. Virus will mutate over time (or science is wrong…all viruses mutuate) and, like the flu, some mutations will be more deadly than others. Remember, the Co in covid is for coronavirus. Same basic type of virus as the common cold. Seven strains of coronaviruses exist in the wild, four of which are ‘common’ to humans and three which are zoonotic (jumped from animal to human)
Flu vaccine has a 40% or so uptake, so covid vax voluntary uptake is already better than that. Spanish Flu ran it’s course over a couple of years. Widespread Covid is maybe 18-months along the next 12-18 months are going to be informative.
Pandemics in general have two ends, the medical end and the public end. Rarely do those coincide and are most likely to eventually transition to an endemic problem and we’ll just have to live with it.
Thank you for your reasonable response. I agree with you but I do feel like we should do everything we can to do our part to assist in mitigating this issue.Doubtful. I think the trolley problem is accepting the unwritten/unspoken “reasonable” after the word everything in your statement above. But reasonable doesn’t result in near little binary options to bucket people in to.…I do feel like we should do everything we can to do our part to assist in mitigating this issue.
I'm 64 also. The vaccines of the past were never rolled out as this one has. Vaccines for schools were based on the ages the diseases effected, it wasn't mandated for the parents. If we go on who COVID effects then the most they would have suggested is the elderly and those with comorbidities should be protected and others can have it if they want it. But that's not how this is being pushed.I am going to get beat up for this but here goes:
I am a 64 year old Texan. In my generation this crap wouldn't be an issue.
We all get a flu shot. We all get the required vaccines for school.
So what is the big deal over getting this vaccine? Its political BS.
This is a world wide issue we need to ban together and take care of business. Put our political views aside and take care of our fellow citizens, our families and our country!
Getting the vaccine is your patriotic duty.
This is NOT a political issue!
Its a health issue.
We are not going to get a handle on this until we all get vaccinated.
Dont want a vaccine? Fine stay home! Stop crying about it!
In my opinion when you get covid you dont get to take up space in our health care system over vaccinated.
Keep your kids at home.
If your work requires vaccine then find another job or stay home. You dont get to whine about it.
Seriously stop drinking the conspiracy koolaid. What a joke!
Pull your heads out of the sand and looking to facebook for facts.
Stop being a self centered, selfish, child and do the right thing.
Dont whine and complain just man up and get it done.
WTF! It's just a shot that could save lives!
Out of curiosity how does their experience with the second time compare to the first time around? My wife's boss had covid. Recovered.
Got the jabs.
Now he's got covid, again.
Truth.
I am 64 as well. And that right there is pure propaganda bullshit right there.I am going to get beat up for this but here goes:
