Well, funny thing is the adjuster hasn't even seen the car, and made that determination on some supposed pictures. The body shop also hasn't even made an in-depth estimate of the cost or the damages. I even asked the body shop what was the industry standard for determining a total vehicle currently. ( I have been out of the business for some years!) He said it was at 70% to 75% of current market value of the car in pre-collision condition. He said if the vehicle is totaled, they could be liable to make a replacement of the same vehicle and model with approximately the same mileage.

We thank you for the prayers too. Much appreciated.

Thank you Katy. Just pray I don't get too sporty and go to jail for assault!

    Thanks Pops. Much appreciated sir.

I had thought I was officially an old fart when I hit 65. Now more than a year later, I realized I actually became one officially today (maybe even a stale one) because today I signed up for Social Security benefits and medicare part B (already had A). My Social Security payout would have been on the smaller side but because I am affected by the Windfall Elimination Provision, I will get around a third or less of what someone would normally get who made the same amount of contributions as did I to SS. I hope whatever the amount turns out to be, that it will pay for my Medicare part B or at least most of it each month.

I got 20 bucks towards @Axxe55 bail tomorrow.
Dammit! Makes me almost wish someone would mouth off!

Seriously, we are going to see if we can just deal with our own insurance company and let them sue the other driver's insurance for the money.

Plus side is, the car is paid for, so there isn't going to be dealing with any lenders over the amount of money.

Well, I made it this far on the table. Will have to put the top surface on tomorrow or Saturday. The frame is 46" x 84", and the top surface will be 48" x 88".

The last time I lost my temper was at a dealership. They didnt know I lived a couple minutes away and thought it was funny to transfer me to every unused number in the dealership.

I suprised the service writer and upon seeing me popped off something about wasting his time by calling when they had my car for an eternity fixing their error.

I damn near turned his desk over into his lap.

    Lucky I didnt get arrested.

Got my car back fixed that day though.

Dont let other people push your buttons.

I would put some lateral bracing or a shelf on the bottom for side to side strength.

You could sell that thing for stupid money.

    Looks plenty sturdy to me...

    Hey Axxe Man,

That table/work bench is the BOMB!

Can flip/rotate/do what the blame ever with every project!

    Man! I like it!!

It's getting one lateral brace in the center. I can't do them on the outside on the legs, because the welding cart will be stored underneath like shown in the picture. The opposite side there are toolboxes and a cabinet that will be underneath the table. The side to the wall, will have my belt grinder, bench grinder, drill press and one of my anvils mounted on top. The other side will be just a large work area. Or who knows?

Eventually, I plan on building a lean-to for the mowers so I can get them out of the garage.
