My uncle who was an old Navy veteran, would reuse his coffee grounds for several days. He just a added a little more fresh to the ones already in the coffee maker!

Most of my family, my father and grandparents drank coffee in the morning with breakfast, but my uncle, he drank coffee from sunup, to sundown.

In the Corps, we called it lifer juice.

When I was deployed for the first Gulf War, even the nighttime temps didn’t drop below 100F for the first few weeks. Instead of heating water for the instant coffee that came in the MREs, I just put the coffee between my cheek and gum as dip.

10 “cups” of coffee down this morning. We will see if there is more to come.
