Just like it left the factory when my great uncle, twice removed picked it up himself. Original box and paperwork were lost in a fire, along with his Medal of Honor paperwork, but this rifle is the real deal. I inherited it a few months back and haven’t had the time to take it out so I’m selling in hopes that someone else is able to appreciate this piece of art.
Was originally a .303 but was converted to the great American caliber of .308 by a world renown gunsmith. Was made by some company out of Indiana that custom built these workhorses.
Like I said, it’s still brand new and completely unfired as he never took it out of safe because he was too busy, which is a shame for him but a bonus for you. Also includes original optic mount which was way ahead of its time. Also, the muzzle device is a custom part on this rifle.
