Kinda what I thought. They wouldn't budge on price but I didn’t try to hard$400 that’s a heck of a deal
That would have probably been 50% more at the pawn shop I (used to, maybe) go to. Last time there, their prices were pretty high. $600 for an "unknown" .30 caliber rifle. Hmmmm.Pawn shop got me again, $400 for a P938. No box or extra mag but looks like it’s never been fired. It’s dirty but no scratches just needs to be cleaned
I’ve bought a good amount of guns from this one. Some cheap guns are way over priced, but then they price HK SIG and other collectible guns low on occasionThat would have probably been 50% more at the pawn shop I (used to, maybe) go to. Sounds like a good place to visit now and then.I’ve bought a good amount of guns from this one. Some cheap guns are way over priced, but then they price HK SIG and other collectible guns low on occasion
Very cool. What were the issues with alum cased ammo? FTE, FTF, stove pipe? Did you try steel cased?I tried to get the folks at my local shop to talk me out of my latest purchase. They failed and I ended up putting 200 rounds down the tube of a 5" GP Stribog SP9A3. I'm not disappointed but did discover rather quickly that it DOES NOT like aluminum cased ammo.
I was at an indoor range and they don't allow steel case. Aluminum Blazer 115 grain caused every malfunction in the book stove pipes, double feeds, FTE resulting in double feeds some of the cases actually looked like semi smashed tinfoil cans as they got smashed between the bolt and breach face. The brass stuff was flawless.Very cool. What were the issues with alum cased ammo? FTE, FTF, stove pipe? Did you try steel cased?
Lord that drives ya crazy. Glad that brass fed great though. That’s a badass gun.I was at an indoor range and they don't allow steel case. I did run some of the aluminum through a P320 compact as well and it ate it up.
I'm curious to see if after a few hundred more rounds it decides to eat it. I need to get it to the outdoor range though and try to feed it some steel. Also need to chunk a dot on top of that thing.Lord that drives ya crazy. Glad that brass fed great though. That’s a badass gun.
Yeah- didn’t realize it was brand new out of the box. Might be a whole different story after a few hundred rounds.I'm curious to see if after a few hundred more rounds it decides to eat it. I thought about you telling me that at my first Family Reunion a year or so back. DP, you, and I dumped a few mags of the brass stuff out of that beast. My MP5 does the same thing with the Blazer aluminum crap.
I don't think it's a problem with your gun.

Looking forward to hearing about it suppressed. I've been on the fence for about 6 months for an A3. Currently I can keep 147gn sub sonic out if a 5 inch barrel. Curious if they stay subsonic with the added barrel length. How is it otherwise? Trigger, recoil impulse etc.... Finally a non youtube review lol...and suppressed, it should make a damn fine host.
For transparencies sake this is my first "sub gun" or PCC or whatever you want to classify it as. My initial impressions are good, the trigger is very AR like (the components are almost identical), the controls are familiar and it fits my hands pretty well. The recoil impulse would be like getting punched in the shoulder by a small toddler, there's nothing there. If I had one criticism it would be that as it sits the grip cannot be swapped out at all though some third party lowers are available that do offer that option. We'll see how that changes once the honeymoon phase ends.Looking forward to hearing about it suppressed. I've been on the fence for about 6 months for an A3.
