    The Russians Lost An Entire Battalion Trying To Cross A River In Eastern Ukraine

    The better part of a Russian army battalion—50 or so vehicles and up to a thousand troops—in recent days tried to cross a pontoon bridge spanning the Siverskyi Donets River, running west to east between the separatist provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine.

    I guess this is another sign of the issues besetting the Russian Army. If memory serves, Russian doctrine was to be prepared to cross rivers of a given size every so many kilometers. They were prepared for wider rivers at longer intervals. They had assets at various levels of the army.

    Prime example of why air supremacy is so important. The Rus not having air cover to take out the Uke artillery is inexcusable from the top down....

    ....and good on the Uke artillery for a massively good show!

I asked Mr. Krotevych about the unit’s reputation. “Like in other units, including military units of the U.S. army, there are some individuals who hold Nazi views,” he says. But labeling the entire regiment neo-Nazi “is like calling all Americans racist because the KKK exists in the U.S.” He adds that extremists have been “dishonorably discharged without the right to wear the uniform or chevron.”

    Even if it were true that U.S./Ukraine were developing biological weapons to kill Russians, it doesn't matter, because Russians are evil...

    Anyway, gain of function and increased lethality research are all the rage!
