Or, those that own them should have a pistol on their hip and when they start looking like they are going to attack... they make great target practice!

    Kinda like shooting ferral hogs!

Yeah, about as "mostly peaceful " as all those riots in the summer of 2020

Exactly. The dogs has those bullets in his mouth (sharp teeth) and he is in control of them and decides whether to attack with them or not.

Yeah, if the owner was responsible... he would not own a pit bull.

    Bye bye

The wife & I never had kids, Friends that did always talk about what good kids they have, up until about puberty. I remember when my parents became a huge pain in my ass with the rules & laws about drinking, doping & diddling the girls.

I remember growing up all the idiots that raised an orphaned Trash Panda, it was all good until theu it puberty to.

You want you kids to be safe around pets get an aquarium of fish.

You should look up all the dangerous critters that can lurk in a salt water tank.

Not to mention electricity and water mixed. Failed seams on the tank flooding out a room

might want to make that a gold fish in a small bowl but hey its the internet I bet you find someone that died from that to.

While this is all true, it have to be an awful nice aquarium set up that cost as much as having a kid around getting into shit it has no business in, but that kind of goes back to who is watching what?

I always miss the good shit and flame outs. I'm sure the trolls will be back soon under new names though.

Put it to y’all like this: out of the two, who would you assume I would have to muzzle around people?

    It ain’t the pitbull.

One time taking Marshall to the vet, the two ladies thought he was so sweet just cause of his breed. I noticed a look in his face and I took control of his head. They had no idea.
Not a pit bull looks like a “bitecha” kinda dog.

Had a pitbull come up to me and my mongrel when I was walking her today. My guess is it came out with the suspected idiot who was behind me, backup the street a bit, who was saying in a ridiculously loud voice: 'what y'all barking at'! It was a male and took a somewhat aggressive stance when it and my dog were sniffing each other. Mine backed off a bit, then the PB advanced but my dog then stood her ground and it backed off. Then the PB came at me somewhat quickly but it's body language did not show an imminent attack. It sniffed me a few times backed off again when I told it to get outta here and that was it. I had been talking to it all along trying to keep things calm. While it was sniffing me though, its hackles went up a bit and so was my hand up a bit - up just enough to be on the grip of my Glock 26 - had been there all alongsince it first approached. Turned out okay and we just moved on but had it become aggressive toward me, well there would have been a loud bang.

As far as I am concerned, Pit Bulls and others of the same ilk are not suitable as pets. We had two when I still lived in NY and each became suddenly very aggressive. In fact, the first one we had attacked two of our other dogs - the 2nd attack a year after the first. In each instance, that pitbull bit my wife. Why she ever decided that our next rescue would be a PB/Weimaraner mix is beyond me. That one never bit anyone, while we had it, but it became extremely aggressive toward my mother-in-law and then later on it did the same toward me. The rescue took that 2nd one back. The vet put down the one that has bitten my wife. I was against getting them then but gave in on the insistence of my wife. Now, I'd be vehemently opposed to anyone in my family wanting one.

I had a green moray eel in a 55 gallon tank which grew to almost the length of the tank. When I got it, it ate a goldfish every other day. It later ate a dozen per day. The grandkids loved to watch it but I made certain they couldn't reach in the tank. It's demise was an attempt to swallow a hawkfish which lodged in his throat.

Dogo Argentino, Presa Canaria, Bull Mastiff, Neapolitan Mastiff, English Mastiff, Saint Bernard, Bernese Mountain Dog, just to name a few more dogs that would snap a pit bull like a twig.
So, consider that I meant most other breeds of dogs…. Not that there are NO dogs capable of damage.

Also: Strength is not everything anyways. Also consider the “X” factor: The earned reputation of temperamental ness. I don’t think the other breeds mentioned above have the same reputation of a tendency to “go off.”

Here is my original post, anyways:
“It’s an animal capable of great damage. Other dogs are not as capable of the same damage, I don’t think.”

All of the dogs I have mentioned have the capability of doing much , much more damage than a pit bull.
I watched a coworker’s home video of his 3 boerboels literally tear an adult leopard to pieces.
All of the other breeds are bred for hunting wild game or to protect from apex predators.

Dogos come in at end of vid. About one minute and change

I have owned 3 different Austian Shepherds. By the time we moved into out house in Houston the one neighbor was deathly afraid of it. He had a place out in Luling were a neighbor was attact & killed by 2 of them. He sold his house before we did in Houston and said the was another Austrlian Shephers attack where one dog chew up an adult, who later died from his injuries.

And some city folk think the lone donkey or mule are just ornamental things to keep around.
