    Same here.

Caution to anyone considering getting on that system - Make sure your phone has a near field antenna so that you can use your phone as your reader. The phone app is also much more sophisticated than the dedicated reader that has a crummy little screen and costs $150 that you shouldn't have to spend.
Yes I got off of it it was giving low reading and it would fail every 5th one I Think I was sleeping on it or something. I actually have a brand new Freestyle Libre Meter that I never used.I would be glad to give it to anyone who wants it. I used the phone app.

    What is your target/goal weight?
20 years ago, I would have said 200-210, assuming that I could put on enough muscle to have a healthy body fat percentage at that weight. I'm now far too old to put on that much muscle.

Now if I want to get down to 15% body fat, I'll probably wind up at ~170 pounds. Maybe less.

So my goal is 15% body fat and I'll take whatever total weight that turns out to be.

I can't imagine that will be more than 100 pounds from where I am now. Thus, the title of the thread.

What? Did you just now see the before and after pictures?

I'm going to come back to this thread and post a picture if I reach my goal. I'm also going to post a picture (or maybe the video) if I ever get that tape of me near my top weight digitized.

"Holy Moley" will probably be justified then. :)

No. A fairly serious problem has required me to deviate from my diet recently. All I'll be doing for the next few months is holding where I am right now.

Not a problem. I've learned to be patient with the process.
Ben with your incredible journey..just maintaining what you have worked for is a serious win.
    Keep it up.
    You're doing fine

My hat is off to you, Mr. English! Congratulations!
    Thanks.

This last week has been the biggest step backwards that I have taken in a long time. The doc gave me a steroid shot as a part of treating my shingles. She warned me that the shot would elevate my blood glucose and she wasn't kidding. It hasn't fallen below 150 for a week and will spontaneously, without regard to my food intake, just take a little trip up to 300+ and hang around in that range.

And, without eating extra, I've put on 15 pounds in a week!

    Steroids suck!

I'll recover and get back on track once the steroids are fully out of my system, I suppose. And the price isn't too high to pay to beat back shingles.

    But day-um! :)

Did you notice blood pressure go up. Mine does. I got some injections Tuesday.

Blood sugar doesn't seem to be as effected.
On Wed I had my labs and my fasting blood sugar was 94. Which is what it usually is for that lab, 89 to 95.

Interestingly when I check blood sugar at home it's usually much lower but that's after all day of no eating and walking or exercising.

Oh, shingles suck. I hope you get over them quick. Which reminds me I need the Vax for that.

Hang in there! Yer' doing OK so far. The only weight problem I've had is being too skinny. When I was growing up my dear mother frequently took me to the doctor 'cause I was so skinny! I've now comfortably slid into old age weighing a little over 150 (at 6'2"). The most I've ever weighed was about 220 lbs. when I worked out with weights. Oh well.............
