Is this one street legal already?
Heck yes!!!
Before I was sent to the armory for the rest of my time in the USMC, I worked in the motor pool on okinawa. Nothing better to get out of the okinawan sun by climbing under one of these and taking a napYes. It has a TX Military Vehicle title.
It only has to be registered every 4 years.
Early modelNice that it comes with hard doors. The soft doors ain't worth a shit. Of course I'm sure most of the time you'll have them off anyway. I have a serious love/hate relationship with M998s. Does that one have the 6.2 or 6.5?
Its in really good conditionThat one looks good! I went through AM Generals HMMWV driving course a while back and have really been wanting one for myself ever since.
Here is what I haveStill has split rims?
I have no clue why you would think thatWhy am I thinking this will be an LS swap deal?
More HP, better mileage and more reliable.I have no clue why you would think that
Are you saying replace a torque making diesel designed for a 6000 lb vehicle with a gasoline engine designed for a 3500 lb vehicle?More HP, better mileage and more reliable.
I'm jealous. Are they all emp protected? I would think so.Are you saying replace a torque making diesel designed for a 6000 lb vehicle with a gasoline engine designed for a 3500 lb vehicle?
Not smart in my opinion
Nobody buys a military vehicle for fuel economy to start with..or I didnt.
But if you buy an $8000 6.2 liter LS crate motor and spend $5000 more on labor and things like changing over 24V to 12v plus all the little things in a swap that eat your lunch..
Well I can buy a hell of a lot of diesel for $13,000
But regardles, I don't want to molest the Humvee. I want to keep it as authentic as I can.
Yep...that 4L80E is a bad ass transmissionIf anything a 6.6 duramax/Allison combo would probably be fairly easy since those were put in the H1.
I don't know..the top on my is soft so unless its special material I wouldn't think they are.I'm jealous. Are they all emp protected? I would think so.
