    Hey northern Texans.

So my birthday is coming up in the beginning of July and I’m scouting out my first official birthday gun. Right now I’m between the firearms pictured below. One is a Glock 19 Gen5 (I know, ew) but with a neat custom Texas engraved and cerakoted finish. Since this is our first year in Texas I figured it could be a cool way to commemorate. This would also be a bit on the more practical side as I’d like to have something with cheap, easy to find parts and mags eventually anyway and Glock fits that bill. $599

Option #2 would be the Cimarron Bad Boy 44mag single action in either 6 or 8”. No practical use whatsoever but I want a single action as well, and damn this would fit that slot and then some. I guess I’ve been watching too many westerns lately. The Cimarron would be a little more expensive than the Glock but not by much. $708

    What say you?

At the end of the day its yourself you need to make happy & perhaps a significant other to a slightly lesser degree.

Yea I know. But she’s cool with either one. She actually likes the wheel gun better I think. I’m just getting votes cause I’m kinda torn lol.

I kinda' liked the Texas orange Glock a bit too. Not much. But at least it didn't look like black Tupperware.

    Revolver gets a vote.

I never would have thought I would say this, but I think I just saw my first "BBQ Glock".

I am not a fan of the .44 Mag but respect it. I am a fan of wheel guns in .357 Mag.

I would lean towards the wheel gun as some of the fist guns I bought 30 years ago were revolvers, including some single action Rugers.

However, the 94 “assault weapon ban” did cause me to miss out on guns I wanted.

You can probably get the revolver later, but might not find a Glock like that again.

Oddly I sold off some 30-30 lever actions thinking I would get some .357’s but Winchester and Marlin .357’s kind of stopped being made.
