Ted K became the face of the political resistance to our “winning the war”.

The problems were inherited when the Allies subdued Japan and the French tried to tighten control over the Viets.

As a child & teen, sitting on our kitchen floor, I listened to Generals in USAF Intelligence Services discuss it while drinking Canadian whiskey with my Dad.

Of course, I couldn’t appreciate much of what I heard, but I do recall some. What sticks in my memory is that they considered Ted K an evil tyrant & questioned just how a single Senator from MA could have the power to cause them so much of a problem with their conduct of war tactics.

You refuse to admit the russians are committing atrocities.

Are the russians intentionally attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure or not?

Its a YES/NO question and asked nearly rhetorically because I know your history of dodging questions and documentation.

It wasnt just Kennedy, there was a lot of manipulation by Kissinger et al.

Heck they hid a letter Ho wrote to our president asking for US help in seeking freedom from the French.

Ho was very much a nationalist who found support from the communist because he was fighting for freedom from the French who were our "allies". Because we didnt want to undercut the policies of an allied nation (foreign entanglement), we went against supporting a nation seeking freedom so they turned towards their only other option which falsely promises freedom, but offers only chains: communism. By the time the US sent advisors and stepped in as the french stepped out the war was lost, we would be an oppressor or defeated.

Vietnam is an excellent example of why we should support nations and states moving towards real freedom at the earliest possible moment while avoiding letting our "allies" prevent us from doing what is right.

Thomas Jefferson said to: “Avoid foreign entanglements!”

I think that we can’t be “The World’s Policeman”.

The Swiss have the right idea, and it has worked very well for them.

During WWII, every Swiss was “armed to the teeth”. They kept mountaintop bicycle commando units who could silently descend onto invaders. Every pass was mined & pre-rigged with explosives, they had fighter aircraft inside protected mountain tunnels, which could take-off from their caves with “JATO” rigging.

Hitler wanted to invade; but he didn’t b/c it would have cost him over a million troops.

I think we the USA should rely on the combination of satellites, submarines, ICBM’s, Aircraft Carriers, WarPlanes, etc, and stay out of other countries’ wars.

Putin had admitted to being a war criminal. He proclaimed that his intention is to first invade and recapture all of the old soviet territories and conscript all males between the ages of 15 and 40 in to the military. At that point he will launch a preemptive nuclear strike against all NATO nations, followed by air strikes using conventional munitions, then ground troops. He’s also committed to National Socialism as the future of Russia, and the world.

All of this is easily verified. Look it up. I’m not doing your homework for you. MSM won’t report on it, they are hiding it. Can’t trust them anyways.

    Wrong!

Hitler didn't invade because the Swiss were his source to launder all his looted gold and buy all the weapons he couldn't make himself especially after his factories were destroyed.

The Swiss were dirty evil bastards if you look at it from the jews perspective and their suposid neutral position. They sold shit loads of weapons to Hitler. Knowingly took looted gold and property and kept it hidden up untill today only returning when forced to thru shame. They refused entery to Europe's jews from Germany while allowing trains full of jews bound for death camps to pass thru Switzerland.

The Swiss were cowards of the first order. Afraid to take a stand against Hitler. Afraid to help jews they knew would be slaughtered all the while profiting off the holocaust industry.

They are not some shining light of strength and neutrality. Far far from it.

I know it doesn't fit your narrative of strength and neutrality you like to use as an example for how the US should act. Instead it's an example of how corruption is everywhere nothing can be boiled down to just one thing and how one really should take a stand regardless of all the moving imperfect parts found in an complex situation. Also the dirty side to appeasement of a dictator and war criminal. You just don't phucking do that. It's a historical fact proven over and over and over again.

You never said they are either.

You wont take a stand on one side or the other.

Who cares if I haven’t said it. There are plenty of things that I’ve never said in my life. Just like there are plenty of things you’ve never said in your life. You’re sure getting desperate to find something to argue about.

I think it would be cool to have a thread where people post updates on what's going on without all the opinions added. I appreciate all the various perspectives but sometimes I would just like to know what is going on.

    Me too.
It would be good to see updates on what is actually going on there along with how much taxpayer property is being pissed away with absolutely zero accountability.

I’m not going to worry about that until our southern border is secure. Priorities.

Anybody recall the event where Trump ordered the execution of some Iranian general, I think it was Gen Salami at an airport with a missile strike? How it was crossing the line? He got heat globally and domestically for that. It got me thinking…. We have all of these conflicts, brought on by global leaders, but fought by the peons. The leaders are off limits, but it‘s the normies that have to suffer. I haven’t commented on this thread until now because I really don’t think the Russians or the Ukrainians are all bad. They are both victims of this fight between the elites. I‘m also not at all convinced that as advanced as we and most first world nations are, that we are not capable of taking out the instigators of any conflict and ending it. Not looking to debate either side, just stating my thoughts on the matter.

This thread is a thorn in the side of TGT.
IMO, only the personal jabs are. When the word "you" enters a conversation whether verbally or written, it can and does cause issues if used the wrong way. In forums unfortunately, it's usually in the form of a jab.

Like it or not, killing peons is far less likely to cause a large scale war.

I mean, Biden isn’t all that popular but if some other nation were to launch a missile strike on the White House and take him out you can better every available carrier group would be heading that way and GBUs would already be hanging on the Viper wings when they rolled up on the attackers nearest cost line.

Even if Putin is mostly disliked and the average Russian is against the war in Ukraine, whoever replaces him will have little choice but to attack full scale or escalate in any way possible in order to defend the nations honor and show that such attacks on the nations leadership will not go unanswered.
