It's like giving a guy on the corner $20 for gas after hearing a sob story then realizing he didn't need the gas after all.Not defending her. She’s scum. But you sold it and she can do as she pleases.
Could beMaybe it didn't fit his truck.
And I did and here you are.If I got a new box and $200 out the deal, I wouldn't be creating a post about it. But that's just me.

I do indeedYou have better things to worry about.
Once you sold it to her it was hers to do with as she wished.
Just be more careful next time.
If it wasn't for that spelling error..that last sentence of yours would be absolute gold for the Out of context quote thread..lolI always hate being the sucker in a deal, but I'm completely guilty of flipping shit sometimes. I would never use the son excuse though. I prefer dieing grandmas.
No dude I get it. Vent anytime. Just reminding you to let it go. You got more important things to worry about. You will now know what she’s really like. It's like giving a guy on the corner $20 for gas after hearing a sob story then realizing he didn't need the gas after all.
Iike I said in the OP
I think she got over on me with a "my poor son" sob story.
I found out later that my son was looking for a used box but I agreed to sell it her.
I almost ask her to back out of the deal when I wanted to give it to my son..but I told her I'd sell it to her and I stuck to my word
Now 2 months later it's in Facebook for $300 more than I sold it to her for.
Sorry if you can't see how that might rub a guy a little
But it does me.
I guess I just needed to vent.
I agree with you vmax. You were a stand up guy and did her a favor by selling her your box at a discount. If she purchased it at a discount in order to resell it at a profit, she took money out of your pocket. If that is the case, she will get her just deserts sooner or later.
Some say that you got paid...what are you mad about? I don't agree with that premise. I think it is wrong to buy something from someone at the "friends and family" price to then turn around and sell it for a profit to someone else. I believe it is unethical. To do so is taking money out of the original seller's pocket....assuming they gave you a deal because you were a friend or a woman claiming to need it for her son.
Yes,welcome.Welcome to the Forum!
I bet I know who this exact individual is. Sold him a handgun that he said he had wanted forever and was the year of his birth etc.. sob story and all that. Gave him a really good deal on it. The next day over on Texasguntrader it was listed for $200 more. He is still here occasionally in the classifieds usually making an inquiry and then ghosting off again. I have to restrain myself from outing this guy anytime I see him post on someone's ad.Both sides of the argument have valid points. We assume people are honest and then find out later that we may have been taken advantage of. I won't name names but I made a sale to a sporadic forum member with the understanding that they were buying it for their personal use so I gave them a better deal than I would have otherwise. A couple days later I saw it posted on TGTrader with MY PICS that I posted for the ad here. I took it as a lesson and no longer choose do business with this particular individual when they pop up from time to time in the Classifieds. I admit, he was free to do with it as he wished but at the same time it burned my ass a bit.
ETA: Besides this one transaction, my experience with every other forum member I have met on the outside (for shoots or sales) has been outstanding. You guys are awesome.
