Not like a Stinger at all.So, like a stinger, but at half the FPS? I wonder if the case length is the same as a stinger?
Out of a 4” bbl.32 grains at 950 fps?
Out of a 4” bbl.
It would be considerably faster out of a carbine.
My guess is they had to limit velocity to prevent over expansion and breakup with the minuscule jacket thickness a 22 would offer. I’m sure it’s a fine line between achieving reliable expansion and oh shît that’s way too much with such a tiny projectile.Point being that is feebly terminal ballistics for a so-called defense round.
40 grain at 1050fps.
We clean off all the gunk on our .22 before we use it.. only takes a few minutes.I’m gonna try it out soon as I see it for sale.
The fact its not wax lubed means no gunk up in your semi-auto guns.
He was referring to the aforementioned Speer 22WMR GDHP.
Interesting gel test. Spoiler alert: Plinkster suggests alternating Punch and Uppercut to get the best of both worlds. Uppercut would be a great varmint option (rifle) if they aren't too pricey.
Don’t own 22wmr for that reasonHe was referring to the aforementioned Speer 22WMR GDHP.
If you think 950 from a 22LR is anemic, then try to explain Standard Velocity specs from a self defense 22WMR.
I missed the pivot to 22wmr, but am on board nowI was referring to the Speers, at the bottom of the post...
