Not like a Stinger at all.
This is the first and only jacketed 22 rimfire projectile in existence.
It is made specifically for 2.5-4” barrel handguns.
It is said to over expand and fail out of rifle length barrels.

My guess is they had to limit velocity to prevent over expansion and breakup with the minuscule jacket thickness a 22 would offer. I’m sure it’s a fine line between achieving reliable expansion and oh shît that’s way too much with such a tiny projectile.
Even Speer’s 22WMR GDHP is limited to like 1000 fps.

Interesting gel test. Spoiler alert: Plinkster suggests alternating Punch and Uppercut to get the best of both worlds. Uppercut would be a great varmint option (rifle) if they aren't too pricey.

We clean off all the gunk on our .22 before we use it.. only takes a few minutes.

If you think 950 from a 22LR is anemic, then try to explain Standard Velocity specs from a self defense 22WMR.
