I am distinctly meh on this new offering.

Good for S&W trying something new but I will not be buying.

I’m ok with it. It’s obviously not ground breaking but a lot of lever actions are trash. S&W has always had respectable quality. Not perfect but good.

I hate the look of the rail but also appreciate it for the opportunity to mount a optic.

Overall I like the stainless and dark furniture look but probably won't be buying it.

I'm probably down for a .357. I don't trust marlin/ruger, and the more henrys i mess with, the less i would ever want to own one.

S&w is absolutely capable of building a great gun, the fact this isn’t a giant hunk of plastic crap like the m&p 12 is a good sign.


But to be honest, i was hoping for something REALLY stupid

Wrong caliber. Why are these companies making 44 mags before 357s? There is no way a 44 is more popular/desirable than a 357.
