Well...shit. Gary Graham passed away the day before yesterday. Not a huge star, but he was one of the leads in the "Alien Nation" TV series back in the 90s (he played Matt Sikes, the human partner in the lead duo) and played the Vulcan ambassador Soval on "Star Trek: Enterprise".

Having had personal interactions with him I can tell you he was a genuinely decent guy whose career was torpedoed because of his conservative beliefs and support of the Second Amendment.

...his wife saved him from the tyrannical doctor that controlled his life...
Those were dark times for him. During the worst of it, he was unable to do much for himself. In fact, his turntable had either broken or gone so far out of adjustment that he could no longer play records and hadn't been able to for quite a while. Can you imagine being Brian Wilson and not having a source of music in your own home?

He was visited by a fellow from a magazine that covered audio equipment and music. I cannot remember the purpose of the visit; I don't think it was for an interview or anything since, at that time, Wilson had difficulty talking. Anyway, while there, his visitor repaired his turntable and did basic maintenance to his whole system, leaving it functional once more.

It was absolutely heart-wrenching to read about how Brian Wilson cried when he realized he could play records again.

His life has sort of been like Elvis's both were trapped by bad people
