Dang.. sorry to hear about this. Looking at the list of guns and the prices I'm glad I never bought from them though. A lot of those prices/values are 100% over the going retail price.

the dude isn't an FFL at all,he rips people off on gunbroker(he posted a link to selling a mini draco for 1200) and is currently being a real jerk on the ak forum. couple people said something about the values assigned to the weapons and he went off. he also went off when it was pointed out that selling guns for profit is illegal if you dont have an FFL. sounds like the dude bragged to the wrong people and got hit. if i were him the first people i would investigate would the the employees at the FFL he's transferring through, cause they know what you have and where you live.

Well it looks like the .50 BMG was not a machine gun. There are no BMGs on the list, just two tombstone magazines which have not been placed on the "Positive" list. From his value of $500, that would be right for those empty magazines, with the alleged price enhancements.

Lets see how the insurance company values his stuff. You can bet they will do their own research and not take is word for the values, if he even has insurance.

I would think the AFT will be paying attention to this guy from now on.

Mark Brown is listed as an FFL on Gunbroker, and as for overpriced firearms I could make the same argument about many of the FFLs I see at local gunshows.

Honestly, they guy allegedly had firearms stolen from him. Put yourself in his shoes, then some Internet yahoos start arguing with you about the value of the guns stolen, how'd you feel?

I'm sure the insurance company will do their research, but the bottom line is that it appears he would rather have the weapons recovered first and foremost.

And don't be so quick to judge...

the thread was deleted because that guy went apeshit calling everyone "poor slubs" and bragging about his supposed wealth,a real asshat. he also stated that he is not an FFL ,so any FFL you're referring to is not him. the guy said he had a "hoarding" problem but explicitly said he was not a dealer.

I think I'd go apeshit too if someone stole all of those guns and the conversation was diverted regarding the prices assigned to them. That's a big hit for anyone - collector, dealer, etc.

I saw this on the news this morning.
The weapons were stolen from a Rental Unit.

The Newsperson stated the "people were hoping to start a gun shop & had been collecting for a long time".
They stated "86 guns were taken".

ETA: Just read Matefrio's post, that must be what I saw on the news.
