i will say that arfcom can have amusing threads. just recently PSA made a thread that they were manufacturing 6.8 uppers and had finished testing them with high pressure loads. Spikes came along and ran their mouth how 6.8 high pressure doesnt exist lol, you mad dumb, making up lies, lol. then PSA posted a pic of a shelf full of high pressure 6.8 boxes. lulz ensued.

and that is why i wont ever buy a spikes product. immature and unprofessional.

i do have a new love for PSA after reading the crap they are going through from other companies "spikes" PSA hands down is working their tail off making a good product at affordable prices. of course, thats a side topic.

also, psa will take your order and will do their best to ship in 10days. st, will take your order and.............. no estimate.

I just wish I didn't already have two Spike's in my collection. I may take them to the Fort Worth show this weekend and try to dump them. I realize that Tom already has my money but it's just a principal thing.

I just ordered 2 cases of lower receivers from psa and they told me 3-5 months. It's worth it though they make some damn good stuff.

Wow awhile back I was seriously debating making a new email to join since when I tried apparently gmail is too anonymous to use. Glad I didn't and won't now.

I don't post on AR15.com for a reason. Don't play with the fire if you don't want to get burned.

In regards to that PSA thread, that's awesome. I really love PSA. I hate their wait times, but their company is awesome.

Spikes can suck a big bag of dicks to be honest.

And that after I read that thread. I didn't know they were like that. However, I have chosen PSA over them in the past, and now I'd do it again.

I got flamed for owning a del-ton oh well

Last weekend I helped a buddy build an AR based around a Del-Ton stripped lower. It turned out to be a fine shooter. We floated the barrel with a Black Dawn rail system and used Magpul CTR grip and stock, B.A.D. Lever, pinned the trigger and more. Once we were finished we tallied everything up and had a fine shooting machine for under $900 out the door and my friend was thrilled to death with his new addition.

I don't see anything wrong with that at all.

I like arf.com for what it is. Personally I wish TGT had the "Trial By Combat" feature b/c there are a few folks I'd love to see bet their membership on the shit they do around here. Judging by some of the people I talk with locally, I'd guess that would catch on quite well. But, it does add another element of drama on the list. And quite frankly, we need all the members we can get, so I guess we have to tolerate a few of these people that would be ideal candidates for a "trial by combat" scenario.

For those of you who don't know what that is, Arf.com has a "Pit" section where they allow members to air their differences with other members. If the parties agree to trial by combat, then the "loser" of the pit thread gets a ban. It's a great way to get shit stirrers to put their membership where their mouth is.

    Lol that sounds cool!

Bring back the mini truckin doctor for some fiyah!

Arf.com Pit Threads are brutal and hilarious at the same time. I think they'd be perfect for a few members who act certain ways that never amount to ban-worthy offenses by staff. It empowers the members of the site to call out people who are abusive with their opinions and troll-like with their actions. Staff rarely get involved, although you will see Staff start pit threads there on occasion. Great way for members to self-police the BS that is inherent in having public forums like this. No need to take whiney beefs to staff, step in the pit thread and bet your membership. Problem solved.

other than here, im also part of XDTalk... im a Springer lover and owner of XD/XDm so i figured it made sense to do so. I honestly cant say how the people are on there, because ive been a member there just as long as i have been here on TGT, yet i dont even have a fraction of posts on there that i do here... i only go there when im looking for specific answers for specific subjects about Springers. I like being involved here, but xdtalk, i try to keep my distance... especially now after reading this thread, all those forums being like that, i dont want to be too involved to find out if xdtalk is like that too lol

I have accounts on a whole mess of boards...THR and TFL were the first two I joined, plus arfcom and several C&R boards. Now pretty much all I post on are this board, WTA, and Brian Enos.

I'm a member of Calguns as well (hit me up, same screen name) and I have been for a good while more than here though I haven't even broken 100 posts there, it was a good site that helped me understand CA laws and keep me out of trouble while I was there, much praise for their AR/AK and handgun flow charts that very easily break it down to keep you from getting shafted. More of a lurker there and the fact that it's got a much bigger user base it's hard to keep up with even when that was the sole forum I was on.
