WOW! What terrific dogs! I've only had one other dog in my life and he was a yard dog. Jake actually lives with me and it's a lot different!

Gotta admit, I choked when I saw TXI's late dog, Dax. I can't imagine that level of pain.

I never had a pet dog until we got the Katie-girl 11 years ago this week. Our little Scottie is fighting rounds 2 and 3 against some nasty tumors(some may remember Katie's successful liver cancer surgery three years ago). She's on Paladia now and goes for another scan on Wednesday. The tumor in her lung disappeared after one month of treatment and the adrenal gland tumor was slightly smaller after one month. Wed is the 2-month mark and we're hoping for similar improvement. Katie was a therapy pup back in Atlanta, calling on nursing homes, children's hospitals, etc; so we reckon she gained a few karma points along the way.

Good news is she is showing no real side-effects from the chemo...good appetite and as active as ever. The neighbors across the street put down two older dogs in two years. I am NOT looking forward to that day! Hopefully, it will be a few years from now.

We've been pet-sitting-visiting since last fall. It's amazing how many BIG dogs are out there. I visited ~360lbs of Labs this morning(3). A bit of difference when compared to our 21# Scottie-girl. ;)

If I knew how to post a pic, I'd sure post up the Katie Mamucho HerOwnSelf Norris...stage name K-No .

Am I smart enough to post a phone pic? or is there an APP for that?

Amen. I've had to do that to a couple of dogs and it is horrible. They become so much part of your family, it kills you. Fortunately, my two are reasonably young and cared for pretty well. In my avatar, it's Pepper and Juno. Both bred through field champion English Cockers. When you go to South TX, shoot a quail that goes to a mott, these dogs are fricking awesome. They are so tough, they will pull birds out of places a lab couldn't even get to. No hating. I've had three labs too, two of which were great, the third - well, I'll just call her a little slow - but still sweet.

Sophie and Ryoko. They're not even related...

Sophie's a Taiwan Dog, Ryoko seems to be part Belgian Malinois, part something else. Sometimes I suspect Greyhound the way she runs...

Hotch seems a bit big for only being a year old... What's he weigh?

I've always loved huskies (I blame Balto for that), and plan on getting a female Siberian when I've got my own place.

Hotch is right at 60 pounds. That is top for the standard. He is from Allugas Kennels in Quinlin. The owner has beautiful studs and bitches, and she has plenty of room for them and runks a greatn place. We actually drove out twice before putting a deposit down. He is definately show quality, but we won't show him.

He is also all Husky...............our second one.

TXI, the reason I asked if you run him is they love it and its fun for you as well. When in Oregon, we had a sib and I used to harness her up and let her pull me on my mountain bike.
