And who am I running from exactly?

The gun grabbers I guess. Spend that money, Spend that money, don't let the gun grabbers get me. That's the only thing I got of what you said. Ones liners like you stated don't really explain where your coming from.

Now there's a post that was short and well thought out. I think that many who are one sided will always try to think up excuses to protect their team, even if they have to lie to themselves.

I'm pretty sure we all want to root and cheer for our team. But we'd be remiss if we didn't for one second consider it if looking from the other side. When put into that perspective, it's an eye opener.

I'm reminded of some voting advice I heard not long ago - vote for yourself, no one else will. I'm sure we all have a soft spot about things; we all have friends, we're not all from the same cloth. Often when trying to be a good human beings we get screwed out of our own specific interests. That's why we have to vote for ourselves, when it comes to politics. Vote for the issues that matter to you. There isn't one candidate can can or will fulfill every promise to every voter on any side of an issue. It's an impossible task. Protect yourself, as sad as it sounds, vote for your own interests. No one else is going to.

That's a pretty insulting post IMO, but I will attempt to elaborate.

Any politician will have security, they will all have extra costs, they will all end up doing things on the taxpayers dime. That range trip probably used less money than 99% of the other places he goes.

And yes, I would prefer to pay for the security of a pro gun governor than pay for the security of some liberal ass wipe like Bloomberg.

It's better to fight these things politically and make use of those who are in power than in the streets with a rifle. Wishing to avoid a civil war is common sense and does NOT constitute running. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs a reality check.

I agree with you on that!

Yeah, he can shoot all day long with my tax payer money. Beats the crap out of paying for our officials to fly down to South America and hook up with a bunch of prostitutes and snort coke for a week.

    I second that!
At least He is shooting and not dreaming up Gun Control Legislation like some other State Governors we had better be grateful for our State Legislators Here in Texas, we don't know how Lucky we are!;)

    Amen!

My biggest hope is that Greg Abbott follows Rick Perry as governor!

I don't have a problem with his range trips. The $10k a month rent while the Governor's Mansion was renovated is a different story...

    Exactly...

Shipping his wife on "official duty" and having us flip the bill is a whole different story too.

Just b/c he is pro 2A doesn't give him aright to engage in wasteful spending.

Aside from President Obama, Mr. Perry — the only sitting governor in the 2012 race — has the largest security contingent, and apparently the only one on the Republican side financed by taxpayers.

Sorry if I insulted you but one liners usually don't explain much.

Sorry, I expected some critical thinking skills to be used by those who read my post.

I will be more specific next time as to why I prefer pro-gun politicians to anti gun politicians.

You'll have to excuse me but I'm on another gun forum where some whiners and criers have infiltrated the forum where mostly real men hang out. I ain't much on listening to whiners and criers pro gun or anti.
