Plenty of ammo in my stash but my shooting has slowed way down since I lost my private range. The crisis really hasn't affected me much.

Haven't been much until recently. I had a new rifle/scope and a new eotech I had to get sighted in. I am going today to try out some new .223 I found and I have a new STI that I need to break in. With the ammo availability the way it is, I won't be going though as much ammo as I normally would.

I drastically need some ammo. I like to practice with my duty weapon at once a month. Hard right now.

I haven't stopped shooting due to ammo shortages/cost. It's just been too damn busy at work and don't seem to have the extra time right now. But when it does slow down, I have plenty of ammo!

I'm still averaging twice a week, usually 200rds every time.
Have not bought a single bit of ammo in 3-4 months.

I've quit temporarily. I got into the shooting sports hobby recently, just before the ammo shortage hit, and do not have a huge cache of ammo to tide me over until supply reaches demand. I haven't been to the range in months. Just can't find 9 mm and .22LR, the two calibers which prior to the shortage were supposedly the cheapest and most readily available. Unfortunately, now they're the most sought after and difficult to find, and if you're lucky to find a box, you're limited to the amount you can buy. I've gotten so frustrated with it, I don't even bother looking for ammo any more. Til things return to normal, I've looked for other hobbies to fill the void. I just keep asking myself when ammo supply and demand will finally normalize.

I haven't been in months either. I'm still making ammo runs whenever I can and am slowly building up enough of a stash that I might go out soon. I even scored a couple of boxes of .22's last week - 50 round boxes :-(.

I've only shot .22 twice since ammo disappeared. It nearly broke my heart to give a friend a "gun warming" gift of 50 rounds of 9mm. A new gun has to have ammo and he couldn't find any.

A few members of TGT have accused me of being paranoid and/or seeing conspiracies in almost everything I see going on in our society. Several of us predicted this shortage over 16 months ago and were completely ignored by others. We were prepared.

Not to gloat but I would rather have things that I need and NOT be caught with my pants down than to play it conservatively, do nothing and be caught unprepared. If ammo supplies, get even worse, I can fall back on reloading then ultimately, bullet casting if it goes that way. Rifle, pistol and shotgun ammo are all covered 100%.

I went back to work at a local college a few days per week and have really enjoyed teaching people who WANT to learn! Consequently, I diverted some of my retirement (shooting) time to teaching. I get paid by the classroom hour so development time is on my nickle. My last classes paid 12 hours but I had over 30 hours of development time in them. That's OK because it's no longer my business. Teaching is a hobby, now and I do it because I enjoy it! Stress level is about zero.

Incidentally, I just took my blood pressure 5 minutes ago.....102/68. A teenager couldn't top that! That seemed a bit lower than usual so I rechecked it.....105/70. Then I realized that my dog Jake is by my side, there are NO women around here, we had a wonderful ham & cheese omelet and cereal for breakfast (cooked at home) all while we're watching the NASCAR Kansas race. That's as good as it gets!

I just counted my stash last night. I'm low in everything but .22. I'm at about 850 rounds for .22. For a guy shooting a bolt action with 5 round mags, that's a crap load lol. Now I just gotta get the rest built up. But I do keep going to the range at least twice a month. I usually shoot 1/4 of what I have.

Yeah here too, the ammo shortages really cut back on my practice time. Don't have the extra time to check stores daily.

40 i've hit up gt's several times in the past month. I have been shooting up some older duty ammo as all my practice is gone. Pretty sad. Time to start hitting up academy and wally mart in the AM I guess.

Since we're in the same area, I'll start looking for you. There are several times where I've stopped by Walmart and found .40S&W. I'm assuming you don't care if it's steel cased or not? Regardless, I'll start picking up .40S&W whenever I see it and sell it to you at cost.

Even ammo cans have tripled in price ! ugh. I was buying 9 can deals for $58 from Army Gear not long ago. Now they are $15 a pop! I've got a couple bricks of 22lr for a couple rifles but I do not own a 22 pistol.

I am going to buy a 40 throw down just because it was/is so available in ammo this time around.
Where arre you finding .40 S&W at? I have not seen it much of any where

Since I work for an organization run by a bunch of anti-gun Brits and I live with a host family in CO no less, I haven't been able to shoot since mid-January. Although it has done wonders for my wallet and my ammo supply! Lol. I intend on burning up some .22LR and some .30-06 this July at my buddy's ranch.
