Latest headline on the news ticker is another state is considering going to speed cameras on highways and roads. Yet another attack on our privacy as citizens trying to be passed off as some kind of life saver.
The Brits hate the cameras and they've been proven to be nothing more than revenue generation for the government. People there slam on their brakes to avoid being caught by the camera, which is 10 times more likely to cause a wreck than someone traveling 5 - 10 MPH over.
What we need is a real driving exam if you want to save lives. Otherwise the rest of this mindless country will continue to do everything but drive when they are on the roadways. That's the difference between the Germans and us... and the reason why many of their highways are unrestricted. The difference isn't just a stereotype... they really are that much better at driving.
