You guys are as bad as the motorcycle forums about bbq, but you could do better with pies. I'm not talking about store bought stuff.........yuck! I looking for places that serve real pie. I know some of y'all know where the cafes are that serve real pies, so where are they at?

Gotta try Koffee Cup in Hico. Maybe the best pies I ever had. Def the best chocolate pie I've had. The meringue is maybe 2 inches on some.

In Glen Rose ...

Pie Peddler - on the square has the best pecan pie I've tasted since my mom's.

But for a complete dining experience, the Green Pickle just off the square in Glen Rose has the best damn burger and chocolate pie in the entire civilized universe. Folks go in hungry and come out with their O-face.

Houston - Goode Co. BBQ or Seafood locations pecan pie. mmm MMMM! Not too much sugar to coverup the real reason to have some pie.

Expanding on dbgun's comment, Flying Saucer (Houston) gets NAILED every holiday season with people literally lined up at 'o dark thirty waiting for a pie. I've never had one but they must be doing something right.
