    Now I'm interested. Buttermilk pie is my absolute favorite. I also have a high school buddy who is in prison down there who I visit every once in a while (yeah, we all know somebody who f'kd their life up. Big whoop. Get over it). Please try to remember the name of the place.

    Here is a simple, basic recipe that takes about 15 minutes to make and another hour to cook a pair of thin (or one deep dish) pies for right around $10



    Now if you want (and some do) you can add some lemon zest, coco powder, coconut, etc to add additional flavors.

    probably my favourite variation is German Chocolate Buttermilk Pie.

    I still haven't gotten a good place for pie in San Antonio recommended
