I think a lot of you have posted things that annoy you more that actually making you cringe.

A cringe reaction would be like thinking of going down a razor blade slide into a pool or rubbing alcohol

Please elaborate, this could be interesting.

I was riding my trail bike in the Kaibab national forest. My shirt un-tucked it self and was exposing my Glock. A game warden stopped me and for is safety ask I hand him my firearm. He was being very friendly so I didn't argue. I did exactly as he said and removed the magazine, un-holstered, lock the slide back. I handed him my gun and he walked to his car and tossed it on the hood. Not set it down, but actually toss it from 8in above the hood. He asked a bunch of questions about what I was doing. He gave me back the gun and told me to keep the mag out till he left. We talked about my bike and "went our separate ways".

Something about watching my Glock slide on his hood made me snap. I tensed up and closed my eyes really hard. I guess that's cringing, either way I feel the same when thinking about the razor blade slide.

Point taken so based on many, MANY personal experiences, watching a skateboard, bike, motorcycle etc. accident that ends in sliding across the pavement or a solid noggin knock.

Oh, and razor blades across the finger ;)

Why are you carrying a handgun concealed when you are underage??? Highly illegal. Keep those kinds of posts out of here

In Arizona, possibly during a lawful activity.

There are times this would be legal and depending on AZ gun laws he may not have been breaking any laws.

Thought arizona only had OC laws. According to him he had it concealed meaning it was illegal since he may only oc, not cc. This kid is shady as f**k.

Young guys telling me they want to be mechanics and asking me for advice.

No. Really. Don't do it because this job sucks. My standard advice is, "don't."

Tangentially related to your advice, here's a story that makes me cringe. It falls under the general "Seeing someone screw up, knowing what's going to happen, and not being able to help" category of things that make me cringe.

A woman I was dating years ago had a drop-dead gorgeous 16-year-old daughter. The kid loved cars. Turning wrenches was all she wanted out of life. She presented well and, truthfully, was quite talented. After high school she took that to BMW of America and was accepted into their apprenticeship program. After the formal training, she was assigned to a dealership in Houston. All she had to do was stay employed for 5 years doing good work and her multi-kilobuck debt to BMW for the training would be forgiven in full. The pay was surprisingly good.

I knew how this was going to end up. "Look, your daughter is a teenager and somewhere beyond smokin' hot. She's about to start work behind closed doors in a boy's club with a culture that will not respect her. Bad things will happen and she's not mature enough to see them coming and deal with them." The mom didn't believe me. The daughter wouldn't speak to me, ever. (I was dating her mom; it goes with the territory.)

Her mom and I broke up about that time. Two or three years later, I ran into her mom. It had taken the girl about 18 months to total two brand new Mustangs, have an affair with the Service VP at the dealership, and get fired when the VP's wife found out about it. BMW wanted their money. Daughter ran away with a ski bum to "live on the snowboarding circuit".

Yeah, I cringed when I heard that.
