Why would you put HQ here and the factory in Wyoming?

I'm sure ultimately financial benefits. Lots of companies in the aviation industry do the same. Often tax benefits are the lure dangled for warehouse sites (especially if the city/state offer to build new custom facilities), likely the same for HQ (Corporate environment abounds there in DFW). There probably was logistical benefits for moving Ops nearby vs a further away location. Transport cost for machinery to make the move. I'm sure you probably know that one better than most of us here. When DHs co was being wooed by FL and TX for their move, transport cost for inventory was one of the deciding factors. I think something like 400 rigs would have been needed to make the 1300mi trip. Instead they chose the instate option and moving 15mi up the road.

Magpul was bringing what $80-$88mil/yr for CO. That, or however they are structured, will now be coming to TX. Perry wouldn't have pushed to complete a deal if it did not benefit him, or TX. Perry is going to be out soon anyway.

Well let's start with why the HQ is not in WY. Probably the same reason almost no Corp HQs are in WY and thousands are in Texas.

Now, why MFG in WY and not TX? Probably retained a lot of employees who like cold weather and mountains. I will also bet Cost of Living is a lot cheaper too.

Also they are no longer putting all the eggs in one basket. If one state goes full retard, they are already setup in another.

I wonder if the HQ relocation will amount to a hill of beans. I wonder how many jobs and space they will really take.

The real meat of the idea would be the Wyoming jobs.

DFW airport most likely had more of a pull than any other single factor as the HQ guys travel a bunch.

Seems like all the fees at D/FW would offset any financial advantages.

I have family in Evergreen CO, Cost of living is ridiculous there. Cheaper here... And moving to WY they can stay in CO and commute to WY.

Perhaps manf to WY killed two birds with one stone: lower cost to relocate and gave their employees a more realistic opportunity to stay with the company. Just as they were principled about gun rights they likely hold good values towards the people that build their products. A company is only as good as their individuals. If that kind of attitude and standards is what Magpul Corporate is about, we want them here in TX.

No matter which of the three sites in "North Central Texas" they choose for their HQ, we all benefit due to having the corp revenue and many more pro-2A folks around.

Texas gained some jobs but the happy side of that coin is that Colorado LOST big time! Their citizens are going to be pissed off and that will be translated to Liberals getting their butts chewed! That makes me feel all warm and cozy!

Take our victories regardless of how they come to us.

Their citizens are happily bathed in weed right now. I doubt that most of the population knows about or cares about this move.

They will make so much in marijuana taxes that they won't even feel the revenue loss.

As much as we want them to feel it I highly doubt that will be the case.
