That's just crazy... there is no way they would ever do anything to "stick it to Russia" or make it more difficult on us firearms owners.

On a side note. M855 is in stock at the Midland Academy. $9.99/20

Also has CCI .22 subs. I haven't seen those in stock anywhere in about 2 years. $7.99/100 limit 2.

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly how they work it now but it is more regulated.

Might check with the guy at the feed store.

Yeah, but I believe that you need to show ID and do some paperwork to get more than 25 pounds of AN.

    Ya, I think you're right.

From what I read in a Federal Register, 25 lbs is the "threshold weight."
The Department believes that this weight is low enough to prevent a bad actor from easily acquiring a sufficient quantity of ammonium nitrate to pose a terrorist threat.

Someone mentioned AR/AK pistols for home defense. Which would have a larger report in an enclosed area in a house, one of the pistols or a shotgun? I imagine the pistols would have a pretty bright fireball coming out of them as well...

From a shooters perspective, the 7.5" AR is much louder than my 870. It also, does indeed, have a large fireball. If you're using it inside, I highly would recommend ear pro or a can on the end.

Also, as far as volume if it says anything... I was shooting my 700 in .308 and my 16" AR in 5.56. The guy next to me was running a KSG. After a few shots on the 7.5" AR, he stopped to come see what the heck I was shooting.

Yeah, I wouldn't own an AR shorter than 10.5" unless it was 300blk

Now that you mention it, I really want to see the fireball on the end of one of those little AK's. I've never seen a Russian weapon that didn't throw a fireball, bigger flame sounds more fun.

I actually love the boom and flame from my 7.5. So much so I put a Noveski flaming pig (KX3) on it to enhance the effect.

I call it my flamethrower with a bullet.

I just HAD to have one of those AK 47 pistols! I got it, enjoyed having it, then realized what a completely impractical firearm it was. Bang, ZOOM...................sold it!

They're okay range toys. COULD they be used for home defense? Sure. Are there better options? Of course. They're about as 'practical' as a Rossi Ranch Hand. Once I fulfill a few more 'wants' I might pick one of those up. Practical? Not really. Fun toy? Yes.

I own an AK pistol. Bought it in October 2012 as an SBR project that I still haven't got around to SBRing. Till then, its pretty useless. I'd rather have a full size AK than a pistol AK that I'm too lazy and broke to SBR. I'll do it eventually.

Yep, poor choice for HD due to loud ass boom. I'll post a link to mines throwing flames when I get home.

They are fun at ranges like hicksville, not so much at ASC where you're just sitting on a bench.
