They seem to be on par with the show at Cedar Park last weekend. Should be a mix of the same vendors and different ones as expected.

Like most shows lately, if overpriced .22 ammo pisses you off then stay home.

New gun prices at the Cedar Park show were decent. Better than what I could find locally or even online by the time you add shipping and FFL fees.

Ofcourse, now that the market has settled down I enjoy gunshows again.

Meh. This is my hometown show and I've never found anything I couldn't live without. Where are all the .920 10/22 barrels?

They tend to either be great or a complete waste of time. No in-between in my experience. I heard the last one was really good but I did not make it.

I went to a "Real Gun Show" show in Bastrop a while back and it was terrible. Granted, it was in the aftermath of Sandy Hook when nobody had any inventory of anything, so it probably isn't fair to judge them under the circumstances.

It's easier for me to get to Belton than to the Saxet in Dripping Springs but I can't make it this weekend. If anybody goes, please report back on how it is. If it's on par with the Cedar Park show then I'm putting this one into the rotation.

Yikes! I'd better find some good tacos or something while i'm up there if the show sucks!

Granted, I skipped the last one because the three in a row before it all sucked, but the ones I went to didn't have very many tables (they had it set up in the events room rather than on the main floor) the guns were about the same as I would find at any of the local gun shops, and the ammo was lame. It just didn't have anything unique going on. Then, I went to the one in Austin before it got shut down and that one was WAY bigger, a much nicer mix of different vendors (Everything from leather works and gun accessories, to TLS reps), and even though it was packed-it didn't have that cramped feeling like the Bell County Expo. I just don't see the point anymore in going to the Bell County Expo unless you just want to buy a gun and would rather walk around there rather than drive around to the different gun shops in the area.

I heard the guys at my LGS saying how good the show was. There are different promoters that host shows there. I think that may determine if its good or not.

Since SAXET got the boot...I am trying out this show. Everyone can send me gas money for reporting if it sucks.

Jeremy if I want to hit some local gun shops in the area what do you recommend?

There's a semi-famous barbecue place in Belton called Schoepf's Old Time Pit BBQ. I haven't been in several years but it used to be very good. So you got that going for you if the show sucks.

Action Pawn and Guns Galore have the biggest selection around the Killeen area. Quantico Tactical has the most accessories. There are multiple other pawn shops in the area also. It would take you all day just to hit all the small pawn shops. These are the stores I am familiar with in the Killeen area.

Weber's in Temple is good also. Gun and reloading supplies there.

JT Sports in Coperas Cove has a bunch of reloading stuff but I heard they were big into the price hikes of recent.

None of these places are great on price but you can definitely see a ton of guns.

    Well, in general, meh.

About half the size of CP maybe. Saw a few decent deals but nothing I had to jump on.

Free parking and $6 admission w/ NRA card, $7 without. Cheap enough anyways. I wouldn't drive far to get here unless you are really bored.

The usual overpriced .22 ammo and powder, but they both were there.

I like gun shows so it was worth it to me. If you don't go you aren't missing much.
