Wrap it tight enough that the paste stays moist. Don't let it dry out. Not a big deal but wet works better. Direct sunlight adds UV light that'll accelerate the bleach. One two wammy.

The bleach alone is fairly powerful. It's not something you want on your hands.

Any darker spots that didn't bleach, means there's still oil in the bone. It's ok as long as it looks cool. Rustic.

Keep the paste off the teeth. Meaning don't smear them down.

After its the whiteness you want. Seal it the bone. I'd use Johnson paste wax. There's probably some modern spray you can buy.

Sign the rear of the skull. A spot where it won't show when it's mounted. Initials are cool.

I don't have wood plaques. Just little nail hangers on the back. It'd be a nice to have them but too expensive at the time

I dare you mount one in the center of the oldest hubcap you can find. Something light enough to hang. Chevy.

As a matter of fact I have an old Chevy c10 hub cap from an old truck bed deer blind. It's a center cap so it's not very big. Maybe 10-12" diameter

    Yep. Texas art.

Trim the ring to get it flatter. Nice enough not to show or Jack up the wall. A bigger hubcap would show more.

I've thought about cutting 1-2" thick slices of pecan or oak maybe 12-14" diameter. Use them as plagues. The bark still on it

Alright. Used a turkey baster to coat the skull in the stuff. Sitting in a garbage bag right now. How long should I wait ?

Your best bet is as long as that brightest skull. Keep a journal on this stuff. Time how long it takes. Best cleaners that work and any personal tricks.

I'm serious. Sign the skull. Top of the mouth or around the brain stem hole. Make it permanent.

Power wash, better right after the boil and or scrape off. Hard to get off you can use a wire wheel on a drill or dremel. Use caution.

Check out White Bone Creations on YouTube, the guy is a master and shows how he does it. Boils, power washes, bleach and seals. A real good dude, too
Edit: FYI he uses a brush to apply Mop an Glo to seal em up
