When at home, it has buckshot.
When I walk the dog it is switched to birdshot for snakes.
I have other shotguns at home for snakes that are not as easy to carry as the snake charmer.
Varmints are well covered. 2 legged, 4 legged or creepy crawly.

Right over the top, didn't even ruffle a feather.
SLOWLY TYPED so as not to confuse. Some 410 buckshot only has 2 PELLETS. Not enough room for more because of the size.
Now my feeble brain understands.
The handgun 410 I have I believe 3- 3/0 pellets. The num 4 has 9 pellets.

Be my guest. Those that know me know I'm lost somewhere talking to the voices most of the time anyway.

You shoot anything without hearing protection you will pay the price. Ask all the old folks who shot lots before hearing protection was common.
Just yell loud.
I must have fired, or been right next to 5 to 10 thousand rounds out of a 10 22 and jc Higgins 12 gage. Before 8th grade. We went thru a couple bricks of 22 a summer and a couples cases of 12 gage. We couldn't hear till Christmas. Lol
I only started wearing ear plugs just when I was starting to drive, 15 or so.
Safe to say my kids had hearing protection on from birth. No jet engines screaming in their ears when they are older like I live with now.
Another stupid thing I did I warn people about, I sold those guns and a few more in college. Dont ever sell family treasures like those. I dont mind selling guns I tinker with but selling those was stupid.
I can't remember my granddad's face but I remember stuff we did together and those guns.

My parents were older so mine died way before 10 years old. Faces are hard. For some reason they never had pictures. I remember smells activities habits the guns but f ou r some reason the faces are lost to me.
I really wish I still had the guns especially as my dad gets older. It would be nice to have that connection still.
There is only a couple things I want from my dad. I dont like the way people get after someone dies. I doubt my brothers and sister will get like that but I won't fight over stuff.
That connection is important.

Back to snakes for a moment.
In the past 5 days, I've encountered 3 non-venomous snakes in my yard. Though to be fair I live on the edge of a forest, plus a big pond in my back yard.
Usually, I get 3 cotton mouths and at least 1 coral snake this time of year, so I guess I should be grateful except they usually make me jump when I spot them unexpectedly so my heart gets painfully checked out........
