What is going on?I searched everywhere yesterday for a 1911 and could not find anything other than Taurus models.I lucked out today and was at the shop when one SA 1911 came in.I immediately bought it. I am just wondering if guns are hard to find in your towns.

I hate myself, I sold an auto-ordinance 10mm 1911 (style) for $300 a year ago. Not that I would try to price gauge with it now, but it was my only 1911 and and now It doesnt look like I'll be getting another one anytime soon.

I live in Idaho, and the Colt 1911's are extremely hard to find. The Colt Government 1911 I have, I purchased from GunGenie about a year ago for $740. Its an excellent pistol, haven't had a single issue with it. Other models, mainly the Kimber (very sought after pistol in my area) are very hard to find, and when you do find them they have an enormous price tag on them anywhere from $1100-2400. Outrageous prices IMO.

The Conroe show had many 1911's available. Everything from the real deal Colt's all the way down to Rock Islands. Many, many Kimbers and even some Dan Wessons and Sig GSRs. However, around here there aren't many available but taurus' and milspecs.

tons of them here in ft worth... cheaper than dirt ( ironic name ) has a bunch of kimbers, if you like that sorta thing, some taurus, as well as springfields.

all marked up to our disliking.

Went to the website, didnt see any pistols. Am I missing something? Do they have a store to visit or is it just online???:(
