I have had zero issues with my SA Mil-Spec but a Colt 1911 is on my short list.

I have owned a few of those. They were OK for what they were. Good reliable shooters for the most part. No Range Officer accurate.Has anyone owned or shot the Springfield GI they used to make? It looked like a ww2 model. I am interested in searching one out. It’s a bare bones 1911 made by a decent company. I can’t afford the colt repro or originals.
I just like the look of them, zero thrills and possible hammer bite. I am a bit of a masochist.

SA's are my go to out of the box 1911's. They take very well to being modified and that is my weakness. I can not leave them stock.Any 1911 is better than not! Springfields are OK as far as I'm concerned.
