I’ll let you shoot some really hot loads in my 45-70. That’s about as close as we can get to 50 BMG there.

Don't worry about it. Most of the time, they will ask you before you even get a chance to ask them.
This is true, the first time I went I think Ben and Moonpie asked me to shoot every damn gun they had, which felt awkward to me but I think they enjoyed watching me shoot it more than they enjoyed shooting themselves. I now find myself doing the same thing with the few guns I actually have.
The first time I went, I spent several hours loading and letting folks shoot a black powder pistol. I don't care how many guns you have, what kind they are or how good you are with them. You will have fun. You will make friends. If you don't, it is because you tried not to.

That's the truth, while others shot mine, I don't think I shot any of my own. When I last met up with Moonpie I started wondering if there was a bottom to his bag he kept putting a new one into my hands.
I've never been to one but plan on it. A plan to me would be to buy several boxes of ammo that you would like to shoot ( 9mm & 45) and ask who can help you unload the cases. I wouldn't buy any exotic stuff unless you know something will be there for it. Just a random thought.
I mean we can't do it at the range we go to. Is there somewhere we can do it?

Honestly I'll probably go to Academy today and pick them up. I'm gonna be firing this rifle on Sunday to zero it in. ;-) I appreciate it though!
