They are desperate to claim they're going to get VA. I'm not sure how they think that will happen, with the way things look.
She drove my pop nuts - she started her career doing what he did - wrenching on F-16's, but she was an officer whilest my pop was an NCO. She somehow wrangled pilot training - if I had to guess - quota selection or she was blowing someone (or both) - that she was pushing her military career so hard and the whole purple heart thing really pissed him off. Thankfully the voters weren't swayed by her.
