Charlie is asking about buffer tubes (receiver extensions), not gas tube lengths.

But all of the above is correct per my research as well.

I'm really leaning toward a 9" 300 blackout pistol. If I had a can already I would have done it already.

The grey is sharp. The grey Radian and SB3 brace are both on my build list.

If I can swing it, I want to have all of my parts together for the build party we've been talking about. That and I'm looking at dropping the coin on a BCM 9" barrel.
Keep an eye out for PSA FN barrels. Mine 300BLK is SBR’d and has a PSA FN barrel. Considering it’s not designed to be a long range tack driver I figured that was about the best way to go.

They have several different ones in stock. The FN barreled ones say “CHF” in the description.

I've heard good things about their CHF, will check that as well.

It's kind of dumb but I have an 8" handguard I want to build around so 8.5 to 9" seems to be a solid barrel length.

My 7.5” barreled PSA upper had a 7.5” handguard...the muzzle device was the only thing protruding.

I had to put a shorter handguard on to clear a can.

So consider clearance if you ever think you’ll get a can...but I think your plan works just fine for one

People laugh at the price, but the Geissele ACH and SCH are amazing. It's mind boggling how smooth it can make your gun.

The AXTS/Radians are nice, but outside of clones, Geissele is my go to. Unfortunately i don't think they have them in grey.

You cam often find them on sale for $50 or so

    Did a few upgrades today.
Swapped this rubber grip from another rifle to replace the hard plastic one.

Rubber grip donor, which also got an Elftmann trigger upgrade and a more-vertical grip. It’s an MC5 with MC6 internals which includes an upgraded trigger, but I wanted a Gucci trigger in my favorite rifle. This one is 5.56 but it’s my thread and I can post what I want
    Original grip:

    Upgraded vertical grip and trigger:

Installed this LMT 2-stage trigger on my 16” rifle from the first post...these guys spare no expense in the packaging department LOL...surprisingly Modern Outfitters uses Mil-Spec in the MC5:

And installed a BCM PNT trigger on my Aero/PSA 300 BLK pistol poverty pony, along with a more-vertical grip. Huge improvement over the PSA Mil-Spec:

If you haven’t tried one, I HIGHLY recommend the B5 grip. Much more vertical, personally the most comfortable carbine/fighting rifle grip out there. Precision rifles get a different one but everything else, B5.

    Good looking tools!

    Thanks!

These are Magpul MOE-K2+, I’ll look into the B5...some quick google-fu didn’t reveal much in the way of comparison tho.

I have the Magpul on my 5.56, but I put an Ergo grip on my 300BLK. The only reason I didn't change out the 5.56, is that at the time, I couldn't find an ergo grip in ODG.

I’ll check out aero as well.

I was sorta comparison shopping, then these magpies were on sale for like $14 so that pushed me to give ‘em a try

The Magpul is definitely better than the standard grip, the ergo just feels better in the hand.
