Started with tula ammo 12?gr fmj.

Pulled bullets. Remeasured and slightly increased powder using the 1.9cc scoop included in my pacesetter die set.

Seated 110gr Sierra varmenter pullets at an overall length of 54.20mm (±0.15mm)

I shot 3 mags of tula factory rounds to get a base line. Sangbag support under the pistol grip with a bipod on the front.

    Tula ammo average 6-7" groups

I originally loaded 4 different overall lengths with 5 rounds at each. The top target is at 54.15mm, bottom is 53.20mm. Never mind the group being off.... I was also trying to sight a new RDS while testing these so the groups were moving

Sorry for my omissions.... Was typing on the toilet!

I was using my I.O. Inc. M214. All American AK clone. Barrel is made by Mossberg of all people and measured 308. 16.25" with an AK-74 style break on it (thanks orbitup!)

Was shooting at 50 yards. I was practicing for the zombie 3-gun match at Bracken and the ranges are at 40-60 yards for rifle so I was trying to setup the red dot sight for that.

It improved enough that I will get some more bullets and load some more soon. I'll throw the scope on and shoot them out to 100 yards.

My average at 100yards w the tula ammo is about 8" ±.

My average at 50 yards w tula is about 6" ±.

This put my 50y group down to about 2 inches on average. And if you look at the bottom group, 4 rounds are inside 1 square! I'm impressed how well it worked out!

As for seating, the Lee pacesetter die set for x39 comes with expanders for 308 and 311. The tricky part was sizing without the decapper. My process was as follows:

-pull bullets and dump powder, more info on that below
-remove decapping pin and full length (outside sizing only) size the steel cases
-reinstall pin as low as possible sticking out of the bottom of the die
-Size each against the expander only (which was very low inside the die. Too low to touch the outside sizing portion)
    - redistribute powder with Lee dispenser.
-place bullets very far out and LIGHT crimp w factory crimp die
    -Seat bullet with seating die
    -recrimp w factory crimp die

To pull bullets I removed the dies from the press. Then put the loaded rounds in the shell holder and raised to the top, grabbed with pliers and used the lever to pull the pliers against the top. Worked great!

    Whoa!

You pulled the bullets (projectiles), then added more powder and re-seated different bullets?

Did you dump all the original powder? What was the replacement powder?

How did you crimp the replacement bullets on a steel "Tula" case?

    Be well.

Sorry if I was unclear, I dumped the powder into my Lee perfect powder and reused it. I added about 5% more powder by pulling a few extra bullets (107 total but have some left)

The steel crimped just like brass would.

Because the cases were unfired they only needed the necks resized so I honestly didn't even use any lube
