Never had a gun I didn't make some change to, even if it was as simple as changing grips or coloring the sights. Might not have been absolutely necessary or made me shoot any better, but it made me more comfortable.
The only 2 guns I own that I have not modified in any way at all, other than the custom I posted earlier are my two Kimber .45's. They are the only handguns I own that don't have XS combat sights and/or have had grip modifications.
Where to start.
Colt Commander ( NIB)
Colt Series 80 XSE (Used had work done by Wayne Novak prior to my purchase)
Wilson Compact CQB (used)
Baer Concept X (used)
STI Trojan 9mm (used)
So Far my Colt CE( NIB)
SA Loaded (Used early model blue) (used)
Ruger 22/45 (won at raffle NIB)
The Colt 1911 that my family has carried in 3 wars
And the list goes on.
I buy em the way I like em mostly.
I have others that I have done minor stuff to, grips, change to GI guide rod, extended safety (went back), drop in trigger kit, etc.
