One "God", yes - however there are literally hundreds of different religions that worship that one God (the various facets of Judaism, Christianity and yes, even Islam), and what is permissible in one religion may be taboo in another. Accept that, acknowledge the fact that (at least in this country) it's their right to believe as such (and also criminal to use force of law to ram your beliefs down someone else's throat, which would be a rather direct violation of the 1st Amendment), and move the **** on with your life.
