Brick = 10 boxes of 50 rounds packed in a larger box for a total of 500 rounds; (or some such as American Eagle who packs ten boxes of 40 rounds into a 400 round "Brick."

Bulk Pack = any combination of loose ammo packed into ONE box -- 222, 300, 333, 500, 525, or 550.

These days, "bricks" are the same as a "clip." Is it a "clip" or a "magazine"?

Is it a "brick" or a "bulk pack"?

    Language matters.

    Be well.

So what is the consensus on this? Have the non-shooting hoarders and flippers ran out of funds/interest finally?

    Sign of the times?
IMO, and in a word: the "economy".

Signs of a slow down are popping up all over.
Ammo doesn't feed the kids, the car or your banker.

    Pendulums swing like pendulums do...

I didnt know if it was a supply or demand thing. Sounds like demand has tapered off. When I see bricks....er...bulk packs, out on the regular shelves again ill call it over.

Academy sports and outdoors was selling a box that's was very similar if not identical in size to a box 25 2 1/2" 12 gauge shells. The box was full of .22 LR ammunition.

Let's call that a "box" of ammo. ;)

Reminds me of the time I was picking up a pizza to go...young lady arrived at the same time and we walked toward the ovens. Chef asked the young lady if she would like her pizza cut into 8 slices or 12. Young lady thought for a moment and replied..."Just cut it into eight...we're not hungry enough to eat 12 slices of pizza!!!"
