Ammo panic pricing from coronavirus

Every LGS, Academy, and Bass Pro Shops is sold out of 9mm and 223.

Well I was not planning on buying ammo right now but I guess I should just in case. Using ammoseek.com I found the best price I could for the Federal 9mm ammo that I wanted to get. Paid a bit extra for it but at least it's ordered and on its way.

Starting Tuesday when we reopen.....(closed Sun/Mon)....

2 bx limit range use only.....only rifle and self defense goes out the door.......

Range is useless w/o ammo..............

Over my career, I was involved in 5 major hurricane R&R missions & the Paris, TX tornado. - In everyone of those the locals bought up all (and sometimes fought over) TP & diapers.

THAT I've never understood.
( I would guess that people, in such situations, have no functioning "thought processes" left at all.)

ADDENDA: Right now, BCSD has 5 women in custody for HAVING "a knock-down drag out" BRAWL over 2 packages of diapers, inside a SATX store.
(2 of the 5 had to be treated at the ER for "various wounds", due to the severity of the injuries, & then jailed. Further, I was told that several "bystanders" were also treated & admitted to the hospital for "moderate to severe" injuries sustained from being struck by "various thrown objects".)

Note: I "heard but cannot confirm" that some of the thrown objects were quart cans of motor oil.
(Hit in the head, that would "smart" for certain.)

Where can you get a quart "CAN" of motor oil???

ODDLY, I wondered about that part of the "news report" this PM, when I bought 2 quarts of 5W20 for my "new to me" 1992 Town Car. = ADVANCE AUTO PARTS seemed to have no oil in cans.
(YES, we finally went to Grandview, Steve put on the fuel pump assembly & we headed back to San Antonio with the car. - When we stopped for gas, I checked the oil & found the car to be "2 quarts low", bought/installed oil & completed the trip by about 2100. - BTW, Steve decided to install new spark plugs while we were there.)

NOTE: With a container of fuel injector cleaner, new spark plugs & 15 gallons of fresh gas, the old Town Car ran FINE from Hillsboro to The Alamo City.
