Well evidently it's had some work done on it. I'd buy it, but then I'm a big fan of 1911's anyway.I don't know how early or late production. The serial number is A00158.
There was some work done on it. The original owner left a bag of original parts that he replaced (firing pin, grips, guide rod & spring, and bushing.
I don't know much about this particular gun, but I had a bit of buyers remorse when I bought my 1911 that I carry now. Although I did my research and even got to hold one and look it over good, and I found one cheaper than most places, I still asked myself if I paid too much. I now know it was worth every penny.Looking for opinions of buying a used AMT Hardballer.

I've already made my first payment. I'll be paying for quite a while. It's more expensive than any gun I've ever bought.
But, I'm starting to have doubts. So, opinions would be appreciated.
I remember that, and her not sure if she could shoot a 9 or 45. Now she has a veritable armory.I remember conversation about you being able to rack the slide on a gun a while back. Can you rack the slide on the Hardballer?
If you buy it and decide you don't like it, I'll buy it from you. For a reasonable price of course.Yes, I can rack the slide, just barely.
If you end up carrying it, remember "cocked and locked".Yes, I can rack the slide, just barely.
HEY! Get back in line!If you buy it and decide you don't like it, I'll buy it from you. For a reasonable price of course.
It's got a 5" slide plus a compensator. It would be hilarious to carry. If you end up carrying it, remember "cocked and locked".
Not to the guy at the other end. It's got a 5" slide plus a compensator. It would be hilarious to carry.
